Wi-Fi

About Wi-Fi Networks.
- Wi-Fi networks allow the device to connect to local wireless networks, or access the
Internet wirelessly.
- Wi-Fi is faster and has a greater range than Bluetooth wireless technology.
Connect to an Available Wi-Fi Network
1. Tap the Up arrow on the Today home screen, and then select Wireless Manager.
2. Tap ON at the right of the Wi-Fi option, or tap More Settings at the bottom of the
screen and then Wi-Fi to turn on Wi-Fi.
A bubble window appears to show that a new network has been detected.
3. Select the network that you are permitted to access, and then tap OK.
4. Then select The Internet to get Internet service, and tap Connect.
Configuring Wi-Fi Connection Settings
1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.
2. Tap the Network Adapters tab, and then select
Broadcom 802.11 DHD Network.
3. If you tap Use specific IP address, you must enter the IP
address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway assigned
by your WLAN service provider or network administrator.
4. Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway.
5. Tap Name Servers.
6. Enter the DNS, Alt DNS, WINS, and Alt WINS, if necessary.
