ps gives a snapshot of the current processes. The output consists of six
columns:
PID
TTY
Uid
Size
State

The user ID of the process owner
The amount of virtual memory taken by the
process (kilobytes)
The state of the process. (S-Sleeping, R-Run-
ning, W-Waiting)
