CONNECTION
TO
AMPLIFIER
Connect the
input
terminals on the rear panel
to
the
speaker
terminals
of
the
amplifier
(or
receiver).
Be
sure
to
connect speaker

amplifier

Wrong
connection
makes
the
speakers
of a
stereo
system
operate
"out
of
phase,"
with
a
resulting loss
in
bass
response
and
stereo
effect.

the

to
make
a
hole

wire

ADJUSTMENT
OF LEVEL
CONTROLS
The
CS-R500
is
equipped
with
continuous
level
controls
for
the
MID
and HIGH
sound
ranges.
To
adjust
these,
first
set
the tone controls on the
ampli-
fier to
their
center
("flat")
positions and
turn
high
and
low
noise
filters
off.
Then
play
a
familiar
tape
or
record and
adjust
the two
level
controls on
the
speakers so
that
you
obtain
the
most
pleasing sound.
Rotation
toward MIN
decreases
response
in
the
particular sound
range,
rotation toward
MAX
in-
creases
it.

The
input
impedance
of
this
speaker
system
is
8fl. It
can
be connected
to
any
amplifier
or
receiver
with
a
specified
load
impedance between
4
and
16sl.

the
enclosure
with
furniture
wax
about
once every
three
or
four
months.
This
will
main-
tain its beautiful finish
for
many
years.

In
removing the
Saran
panel,
pull
outward while
keeping
the
panel
parallel
with
the baffle.
Pro-
ceed
slowly.
Do not puil the
Pioneer
emblem
attached
to
the
Saran
board.
