    Installation LP Gas Tank Installation To operate you will need (1) filled standard LP gas tank (20#) with external valve threads. Note: An empty standard LP gas tank weighs approximately 18 lbs. A filled standard LP gas tank weighs approximately 38lbs. Caution: LP gas tank must be properly disconnected and removed prior to moving this appliance.

    Leak Test Checking for Leaks WARNING: Before using this appliance, make sure you have read, understand and are following all information provided in “Dangers and Warnings” presented on Pages 3-6. Checking Burner Connections Make sure regulator valve and hose connection are securely fastened to burner and tank.

    Installation Installing Logs 1. Carefully unpack logs and lava rocks. 2. Place lava rocks inside and outside of burner, level with top of burner. Do not cover any part of burner or on top of pilot shield screen. 3. Use figure 6 to understand log tab numbers on burner. Log tabs may need to be adjusted or bent a little as you install logs, however, DO NOT AJUST LOG TABS WITH LOGS INSTALED ON LOG PEGS.
  • Page 13 7. Place bottom log 3 onto log tab 3. There is one peg in the Y of the log 3. Place the Y of log 3 with peg onto top hole of log 2. See figures 10 and 11. 8. Place bottom log 4 onto log tab 4. The Y of log 4 simply goes in between Y of the log 3. Log 3’s Y simply rests in Y of log 3.

    Installation (OPTIONAL) - Lava Rocks and Glass Installing Lava rocks 1. Carefully unpack (3) lava rocks bags and (1) glass bag. See Figure 15. 2. Place lava rocks inside and outside of burner evenly and level with top of burner. Do not cover any part of burner or on top of pilot shield screen with lava rock.
  • Page 16 Installing Front Screen Protectors Make sure logs or optional lava rocks and glass are in place and unit has been test fired before installing front screen protectors. Place front screens onto unit sliding top screen pins inside front. Lift and rotate bottom screen into position.

    Installing Optional Screen Guard Make sure logs or optional lava rocks an glass are in place and unit has been test fired before installing front screen protectors. Place screen guard onto Chiminea by lifting up over top of Chiminea. You may need some help.

    Operating Instructions Lighting Caution: Keep outdoor gas appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids. Caution: Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air. Caution: Check and clean burner/venturi for insects and insect nests. A clogged venturi can lead to a fire beneath appliance.
