POWER HANDLING

Power rating with regards to loudspeakers denotes the "power handling" of the speaker, not the
"power output". These speakers are rated to accept up to 70 watts RMS.
WATT MEASUREMENT STANDARDS
There are various ways of measuring an amplifier wattage output. The most accurate standards
are "Program Power" and "RMS" (Root Mean Squared) because these standards measure
average sustained levels, but even for these standards there are different ways of measuring
them. Amplifiers between 30 to 100w are suitable for these speakers.
PACKAGING
Save all packing material. It is essential for shipping in the event the unit ever needs repair.
IF ORIGINAL PACKAGING IS NOT USED TO RETURN THE UNIT TO THE SERVICE CENTRE,
DAMAGE IN TRANSIT WILL NOT BE COVERED BY WARRANTY.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.
Decide on speaker placement. Speakers should be evenly spaced throughout the room for
even dispersion.
2.
Cut a hole in the ceiling. For best results use a 210mm holesaw which fits to a standard
power drill (part number: Starrett STRHS210, plus a Starrett Arbor to fit it to your drill).
Alternately, if you use a jigsaw or handsaw attach the cardboard template to the ceiling
and use as a cutting guide. If you are cutting directly into a ceiling panel, beware of power
cables in the plenum void. If you are cutting into a ceiling tile, remove it from the ceiling
and cut at floor level.
3.
Fit the speaker into the hole, with the clamp fittings on the rear of the speaker turned
inward. The intial turn of each screw on the front of the speaker will turn the clamps
outward - continue to tighten clamps to the ceiling. Avoid over-tightening.
