Read entire instructions carefully before
installing door.
2.
Installation, adjustments and repairs must be
performed by an experienced, trained professional
door installer.

Use proper lifting equipment and lifting procedures
when installing door in opening.
4.
Do not cut retention band around door roll or unwrap
protective wrapper until instructions indicate.
5.
Do not stand in door opening during
operation of door.
6.
Do not allow anyone other than authorized
installers to adjust or install.
7.
If door becomes inoperative or hard to
operate, contact a qualified door agency.

  • Page 2 STEP 1. Check the door opening height and width and make sure it is correct with the size door ordered. Make sure jambs are plumb and floor is level. STEP 2. Do not cut bands or unwrap protective cover around door at this time. Instruc- tions to do so will come in Step 8.
  • Page 3 STEP 4. Slide DOOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY onto the end of the AXLE as shown in Figure 3. Slide AXLE WASHER in place over AXLE and install COTTER PIN into AXLE through hole provided to secure the assembly. (NOTE: Locate Extrusion as shown for STEP 5 to provide 2-1/2 turns of spring tension) DOOR DOOR TRACK...

  • Page 6 NOTE: If DOOR is equipped with TENSION ADJUSTER skip Steps 8 & 9 at this time and go to Step 10. STEP 8. Pre-tension the door springs by rotating the entire DOOR AXLE ASSEMBLY two and a half (2-1/2) complete turns in the direction of the arrow shown in Figure 7. While holding the BOTTOM EXTRUSION of the door securely, cut the straps around the door.

    ADJUSTING TENSION WARNING SINCE SPRINGS ARE UNDER EXTREME TENSION, NEVER REMOVE SPRING FASTENERS. KEEP A SECURE HOLD ON THE DOOR AND BOTTOM BAR WHEN ANY TENSION ADJUSTMENTS ARE MADE OR WHEN DOOR STOPS ARE NOT SECURELY ATTACHED. THE DOOR ROLL WILL TRY TO UNROLL RAPIDLY FIGURE 8 AND CAN CAUSE SEVERE INJURY.
  • Page 8 STEP 10. INSTALLING OPTIONAL TENSION ADJUSTER Slide DOOR TRACK ASSEMBLY with DOOR BRACKET onto AXLE ASSEMBLY. (TENSION ADJUSTER is factory assembled with DOOR BRACKET.) Attach spring to TENSION ADJUSTER into the offset hole with a 5/16” x 3/4” bolt and washer. Slide large WASHERS onto AXLE.
  • Page 9: Step 12. Preventive Maintenance

    STEP 12. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE When doors are originally installed, door axles, springs and door tracks are lubricated to ensure smooth movement. Over time, these oils dry out and problems arise where rubber and plastic surfaces come in contact with metal doors and tracks. While units are vacant, we suggest doors be rolled down and springs and axles be lubricated with spray on lithium grease.
