    Hinweis: Um eine einwandfreie Funktion zu gewährleisten, verwenden Sie bitte ausschließlich das mitgelieferte Kabel („M“). Schließen Sie die AIR-X BASE über diesen Anschluss an Ihren PC an, so benötigen Sie das Netzteil nicht. Die AIR-X BASE wird in diesem Falle vom PC mit Spannung versorgt.

  • Page 12 Symmetrischer Eingang: Hier können symmetrische Quellen, wie z.B. einige CD-Player aus dem High End Bereich, professionelle Mischpulte o.ä. angeschlossen werden. Diesen Eingang benöti- gen Sie nur, wenn Sie den Aktivlautsprecher nicht per Funk ansteuern möchten, also ohne AIR-X BASE. Stellen Sie dann den Wahlschalter WIRELESS ON / OFF (12.) auf „OFF“.

    Netzeingangsdose: Im oberen Bereich wird der Kaltgerätestecker des Netzkabels („B”) einge- steckt. Der Netzstecker des Netzkabels wir dann in eine freie Netzsteckdose eingeführt. Die Netzeingangsspannung darf im Bereich zwischen 115 V~ und 240 V~ liegen. Eine Umstellung am Aktivlautsprecher ist nicht erforderlich, da sich das im Gerät befindliche Netzteil automatisch auf die ihm zugeführte Netzspannung einstellt.

  • Page 15 Schalten Sie den „IR ON / OFF“-Schalter in Position „OFF“ (rechte Position), deaktivieren Sie den Infra- rotsensor im Lautsprecher. Der Lautsprecher lässt sich dann nur noch per Funk (von der AIR-X BASE) oder durch ein direkt eingespeistes Analogsignal einschalten. Die Fernbedienung ist dann also wir- kungslos.

    Beispiele verschiedener Konfigurationen Einfaches Stereo-Setup Beispiel 1: Der Sender steht in der Nähe Ihrer Anlage, die Lautsprecher stehen auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite im Raum. Sie möchten sich die langen Kabel sparen. Beispiel 2: Sie nutzen die Funklautsprecher als Rear-Speaker (bzw. Effekt-Speaker) in einer Surround-Anlage und möchten auf die langen Kabel verzichten.

    If inputs 4a and 4b are both used, input 4a takes priority. USB-B input for connecting the AIR-X BASE directly to a computer. The computer automatically recognizes the AIR-X BASE as an external USB sound card and displays it in the system as an “ELAC USB AUDIO” device.

  • Page 34 This is useful if you want to use the active loudspeaker without the AIR-X BASE and need a fixed basic volume level. Use the IR ON / OFF switch to disable the built-in infra-red sensor in the active loudspeaker. This prevents any changes to settings if you press the remote control by accident.

    Mains inlet socket: Plug in the IEC-320 male connector (“B”) on the power cord into the upper area. Then plug the mains plug at the other end of the power cord into a power outlet. The mains voltage supply must be between 115 V and 240 V. You do not need to adapt the active loudspeaker, as the built-in power supply automatically detects and adjusts to the mains voltage connected to it.

    2 set- tings (“DAY” = LED bright and “NIGHT” = LED dark). Additional function: In NIGHT mode, the auto-power-on and auto-power-off functions are deactivated. The AIR-X loudspeaker can then only be switched on and off using the remote control.

    Examples of different configurations Simple stereo setup Example 1: The transmitter is located close to your music system; the loudspeakers are positioned on the opposite side of the room. You want to avoid using long cables. Example 2: You are using the wireless loudspeakers as rear speakers (or effect speakers) in a surround system and want to eliminate the long cables.

    In this particular case, for example, if you switch off the loudspeaker using the remote control, it will automatically switch on again after a few seconds if an audio signal is detected at one of its inputs or if the AIR-X BASE is currently transmitting an audio stream.
