By default, the device automatically adjusts the data rate to maintain an
operational wireless transmission. Therefore, a wireless device that is
close to the access point may operate at higher speeds while a wireless
device far from the access point may operate at lower speeds.
Site survey
A site survey (utility provided with the ASUS WiFi-g™ card) analyzes the
installation environment and recommends the best location for wireless
LAN devices and access points.

Driver and utilities installation

The contents of the WiFi-g™ support CD are subject to change
without notice. Visit the ASUS website for driver/utilities updates.

If you are using a Windows
auto-detects the card during start-up and displays an Add New
Hardware Wizard window. Click Cancel then proceed with the
following instructions.
To install the WiFi-g™ card driver and utilities:
1. Place the WiFi-g™
support CD to the
optical drive.
2. Click Install ASUS
WLAN Card Utilities/
Driver when the ASUS
WiFi-g™ installation
window appears.
If Autorun is NOT enabled in your computer, browse the contents of the
support CD and double click the Setup.exe file to run the CD.
3. Follow screen instructions to install the WiFi-g™ card driver and
utilities.
4. When installation is finish, restart your computer.
