    Please read the following chapter completely and with care and follow the instructions described below. In this way, the correct functioning and the long duration of the MP3 Player is guaran- teed. Please keep the present instructions at a safe place. Kindly pass the instructions on to any new owner of the device if you should sell the device or give it away as a gift.

In case of significant thermal variations or damp, it is possible that the forming of condensation occurs which can cause short circuits. Be- fore the transport, close the cover of the USB socket.

    LEANING Be careful that the MP3 Player does not get dirty. Do not use solvents or spray corrosive cleansers. If necessary, clean the cover with a damp cloth and wipe it dry afterwards. Caution! Your Digital MP3 Player does not contain components to be maintained or cleaned.

    NSERTING BATTERIES This device is operated using a 1.5V ‘AAA’ type battery. Open the battery compartment by lifting the small cover on the back of the MP3 Player. Insert the battery (observe the polarity!) Close the battery compartment. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries. NiMH batteries or batteries of higher capacity are also suitable.

    MP3 P URNING ON TURNING OFF OF LAYER To start the MP3 Player, press and keep pressed the Power On key [1] for two seconds. Now the device is in the playback mode. The MP3 Player turns off automatically after some time when not in use in order to save en- ergy.

    ONNECTION OF EARPHONES Stereo earphones are included in deliver. Insert the earphone plug into the appropriate socket of your MP3 Player. Caution: Listening to music with very high volume can cause permanent dam- age to your ears. Before starting playback, adjust the volume to the lowest level, then start the playback and adjust the volume to the desired intensity.

    ROUBLE HOOTING The PC does not recognize the MP3 Player: Check the installation (page 18 and following. Is the driver installed?). Is the batteries fully charged? Check the connections of the cable and of the device. From Windows Control Panel, check if the MP3 Player is installed correctly.
