2. INTRODUCTION

GENERAL
The Omnivision CODATA transceivers offer a cost sensitive solution to the reuse coaxial
cables in your existing building structures as the transport medium for Ethernet data;
camera or switch data.
The Omnivision CODATA transceiver modules offer a full duplex connection with data
rates of up to 130MBits/s over distances of 500m. This technology allows the upgrade of
analogue CCTV cameras with IP and Mega Pixel cameras while utilising the existing
building infrastructure. Ethernet switches can also be connected using these devices.
Applications include retail outlets, education facilities, banking halls and finance,
Transport, etc.
