Cleaning - the machine doesn’t come apart to clean the mold at the back. It is drained regularly. Tried tools such as tooth brush and various other brushes to get in the hard to reach areas. Mild detergent doesn’t work. How can this be cleaned so that it is hygienic for use?

To clean the Andrew James Ice Maker effectively and ensure hygiene, follow these steps:
1. Remove the Ice Basket – Take out the ice basket to access the interior. 2. Clean the Interior – Use a diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth to wipe the inside. 3. Rinse Thoroughly – Rinse the interior parts with clean water and drain the water by unplugging the drain cap. 4. Clean the Exterior – Wipe the outside of the machine regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. 5. Dry Completely – Use a clean, soft cloth to dry both the interior and exterior. 6. Long-Term Storage – If storing the machine for a long time, ensure all water is completely drained and the interior is dry.
@Nikki I think you just need to keep on top of it. I have seen some people suggesting solutions of vinegar or bleach but not sure I would do that. I used mild detergent with a cloth and knife to get to the corners. Worked ok. The just flush through with water on a weekly basis

The "add water" message on the Andrew James Ice Maker may display even when it is filled with water if the water level is below the sensor mark or the sensor is dirty or malfunctioning. Ensure the water level reaches the correct mark and clean the sensor if needed.

Why is the ice machine Very slow at making ice

The machine has stopped making ice cubes at best it produces a small quantity of small ice about 8 or so and despite being operated correctly it does not produce ice if left on. It became full of black mould, so I have cleaned it, sterilised it with Milton but it is still not working. It was purchased as a house welcoming gift, when I moved here nearly two years ago.
