HARNESS DESCRIPTION 5 PIN MAIN IGNITION HARNESS WIRE Wire color Function Description +12 VOLT Connect to the largest 12-volt supply wire at the IGNITION harness. Ensure that the OEM power wire is fused greater than 25 BATTERY amps. YELLOW 30 AMP Connect to vehicle’s IGNITION wire.

PROGRAMMING A TRANSMITTER The PS-5565TW transmitter does not come pre-programmed and must be code learned after the wiring of the module is complete. The system has the ability to learn up to 4 different transmitters, if a fifth transmitter is learned the first transmitter in memory will be lost.

AUTO TACH LEARNING The PS-5565TW system is equipped with an auto-learn procedure that will tell you if you have the correct TACH wire. § TACH adjustment procedures should be done every time a new unit is installed. This is because the TACH signal from some IGNITION systems can sometimes be too high or too low, thus causing failed starts under different temperatures.

PROGRAMMING OPTIONS The PS-5565TW System is equipped with 2 custom programming menus that allow the user to custom fit the system’s outputs according to the installation requirements. These options are designed to help make interfacing with all vehicles possible. To get into custom programming mode you must do the following: * Ensure that the IGNITION and the VALET switch are turned OFF .

SETTING THE UNIT INTO READY MODE This UNIT is designed for MANUAL transmission only, therefore must be set into READY-MODE in order to remote start the vehicle. If the system is not in READY-MODE the vehicle CANNOT be started by remote. Once the system has been set into READY-MODE the vehicle can be started and stopped as many times as you wish, however should the DOORS / HOOD or TRUNK be opened without the vehicle running under remote start, the system will exit READY-MODE.

It can be used to activate external relays, bypass kits or external module. MULTI-CAR OPERATION The PS-5565TW systems feature Multi-Car operation. This allows the owner of two Polarstart systems in two of his/her vehicles to control both systems with one transmitter (Both vehicles must be equipped with an PS-5565TW).

RESETTING THE MODULE The PS-5565TW system is equipped with a reset function that allows the installer to erase all transmitter codes and return all programmed options to factory default. To reset the module: NOTE: System flashes PARKING LIGHTS 8 times upon reset.

DIAGNOSTICS - PARKING LIGHTS FLASH RATE FLASHES RATE DESCRIPTION Alarm system armed and doors locked OR end of run time OR run time canceled Quick OR trunk open OR cancelled cold weather OR cannot start after maximum attempts of tries. Quick Alarm disarmed and doors unlocked.

Polarstart will replace the remote starter module free of charge with a new remote starter module. 2) For the second year after date of manufacture, as specified by the serial number on the module, Polarstart will replace the remote starter module free of charge with a repaired or refurbished remote starter module.
