    Repeat step 3 through 6 of Desktop mounting section to complete the setup. The Starplus-45 will automatically update the current date and time from the first Caller ID received after the setup is finished. Contact your local telephone company to activate Caller ID service the day before.

INCOMING VOICE VOLUME By sliding the VOLUME control, you can adjust the sound level of incoming calls up to 20 dB. by pressing “AMPLIFY” button, you can control amplification up to 45dB. 1. LCD BACKLIGHT DISPLAY The LCD has a back light that will turn on under the following conditions: • Any incoming call • Picking up the handset • Pressing any button NOTE: The backlight will turn off automatically 15 seconds after the last activity. The AC adapter must be plugged into the unit to enable the BACK LIGHT.

    CHAPTER 7 TAKING CARE OF YOUR STARPLUS-45 Starplus-45 is designed for indoor use only. Do not set the unit in direct sun light. It will damage the LCD which is not covered under the manufacturer warranty. CLEANING: Unplug the Starplus-45 and use only a damp cloth to clean up the outside of the housing.
