  • Page 6 ■Unfolding The product is packed in a folded state at the time of shipment. Please unfold sensor part before using. Default Unfold with hands （ Attention ） Be careful about nipping your hands during unfolding or storing. （Attention）Please store the scanner during carrying around. ■Lighting on/off of LED Switch of Inner LED is touch sensor.

    Preparation Please prepare mat and documents for scanning. ① First, please put mat on somewhere or something flat and stable. （Image from above） ※Color of mat is different in front side and back side but could be used for scanning either side. ②Then, put scanner on the mat where the white square is marked and noted as ‘Scanner’.

    Software Installation Special software is required in order to use SSA-600. In this section it will explain the steps of installation. （Attention）Please do not connect the stand scanner with PC until installation of the software is completed. （Attention）The requirements of the software, please look at page 36 of ‘specs’.

Please click ‘Finish’ to complete and terminate installation. ※Put check in 「Launch DocScanner」 box and launch DocScanner immediately after terminating install wizard. ⑤An icon of the software will be made in a list of desktop or programs （Attention）It might not be made on desktop depend on the environment.

    Use （Basic Functions） Let’s try saving picture in standard state after installation. ① Connecting scanner to PC with USB cable. ②Please start "DocScanner" from the list of desktop or programs. ― 10 ―...
  • Page 13 ③ ‘DocScanner’ will be launched The image in the range of sensor will be shown on DocScaner Window. Please project the image which you want to capture on the screen. ④Please click ‘scan’ of the icon of the upper window when adjusting position is completed.

  • Page 16 ■Menu bar（Topside of the Window） File operation or each function is divided into menu bar at upper side of the window. ■Tool bar（Upper window） Tool bar (with icons) is just under the menu bar. Some functions of the menu bar are displayed with an icon in tool bar, and the use of the function is possible immediately by clicking it.
  • Page 17 ■Video／Image（Upper window） To switch between capture window and preview window, please click tab at upper left side of the window. ■Video Property（Right side of the window） It will display windows such as the setting of a picture on the right side when you click ‘Video tool’ at the right side of the window.

    Use（Capture Function） You could select capture range and image effect during capturing. ■Capture range adjustment It will capture the whole range that a sensor scanned when you press the capture button with the initial state. Please follow the steps below if you only want to capture necessary range. （Attention）The pixels of saved data will be lower when you select the capture range than when you captured the whole range.
  • Page 19 ■Effect（Color inversion.etc） You are able to capture with effects shown above by clicking the icons. To cancel all effects, please click ‘Color’ icon. Inverse color － Inverting the color of captured image and save it. Grey-scale － Transferring to gray scale and save it. Black Line －...
  • Page 20 ■Revising direction（Turn of the image） Please use the icons on tool bar or ‘Image’ on the menu bar to revise the direction of the image at the time of saving. You are able to adjust the direction 90 degrees and can reverse it vertically or horizontally.
  • Page 21 ■Video property Video Resolution － Select resolution of saving data. Normally it is 2592 x 1944. Auto（check） － Software will adjust white balance.etc. automatically when you classify a check in this option. If you want to adjust it by manual operation, please exclude a check. Default（Button）...
  • Page 22 ■Tools Compressibility of the image － You are able to adjust compressibility (quality) of saving data in JEPG format. Turning ― Input numerical value to adjust angle of image Display magnification ― Change the size of the appearance of the photography screen. It will not be reflected for saving data.     （Preview function） Double click the thumbnail in saving list or preview tab to display preview screen. You are able to edit or print with this function. ■Print Click ‘Print’ icon on tool bar or ‘Print’ in ‘File’ on menu bar to start printing.
  • Page 24 ■Clip out only a necessary part Click ‘Rectangle select’ icon of the tool bar. Then, please choose the range that you want to clip out with mouse. A flame will be shown so click ‘Cut’ to cut only within selected range.
  • Page 25 ■Adjust display size You are able to change size of preview screen by options on menu bar or tool bar. This only changes display size but not saved data. ※Actual size; ‘Actual size’ will fix display size to make resolution of saved data match with resolution of the monitor. It will be different from the real manuscript size.

Processing gauge will be shown and starting. As identification is complete, the Word will be launched automatically and OCR data will be pasted on it.
  • Page 34 ■A3 capture function Dial The stand scanner is able to scan A3 size. Please pull top side of the scanner as the picture above. Now you are able to scan A3 size documents. The height (focal range) will change so please adjust focal point with dial next to the sensor.

    Q&A Q. No respond when I insert the Software CD in my PC A. The auto run could be blocked by security software or Windows of your PC. Please launch ‘setup.exe’ from CD-ROM directly. Q. Installation stops and does not work even if I restart it. A.
