    Safety Precautions DANGER: DO NOT REMOVE COVER! HIGH VOLTAGE IS PRESENT IN THIS CONTROL. Contact vendor for service. DANGER: If high voltage is present on external temperature sensor from out- side source, high voltage will be present at the control. DANGER: Fire protection and control damage: Replace all fuses with the cor- rect fuse replacement.

    The control automatically sets the PID parameters through a "learning" sequence in the tune mode. PID parameters include proportional band, reset/integral, and rate/derivative. The user- friendly LED display is to aid in monitoring and setup of the control. The Oakton model: 89800-01 and 89800-02 controls automatically store all information in non-volatile memory.
  • Page 5 ALARM Button In an ALARM situation, the display will display either “WARNING” or “ERROR” with corresponding warning or error. A “WARNING” will not stop the control process. An “ERROR” will stop the control process. MANUAL RESET mode: Pressing ALARM once will silence the audible alarm and clear the on- screen alarm message.

    Pressing and holding UP and DOWN arrow keys will increase or decrease text entries without an acceleration factor. The LEFT arrow button allows you move backwards through the GEN- ERAL SETUP MENU (GSM) and ADVANCED SETUP MENU (ASM). While in the ASM, you can move backwards to the first ASM screen, but cannot back into the GSM.

    Operation Setup for models: 89800-01 & 89800-02 To enter the user-con igurable setup press the MENU key from the system status screen. • Use the MENU key to advance through each menu setting. • Use the UP & DOWN key to make changes in each menu setting screen. • Use the low chart (page 16 & 17) to have visual of the overall menu layout. • When all settings have been made and saved the control will return to the System Status screen. • Set the Set Point temperature by pressing the Select button one time. A line will appear • under the Set Point value. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to change the Set Point value. •...
