It is important that you read and understand these instructions before installation and use. Verify if your state
allows the use of headsets on motorcycles and any restrictions that may apply.
Safety Notice
It is very important to properly set up and use these products as designed. Please do not make any modifications,
attempt to use the system with any non‐recommended products, or use it in any way other than described.
Do not cut or modify your helmets.
It is common sense, and the law in some states, that the rider of a vehicle be in control at all times, which includes
the ability to hear other road user's warnings. As such, a RIDER should not have the music volume so loud as to
prevent this. Safety should always be your first priority and is ultimately the responsibility of you, the rider.
You should only make adjustments while the bike is stationary, never while in motion.
Make sure that the quick release connectors are free to quick release in the event of an emergency.
Always focus your attention to riding and safety and do not use the system in such a way as to interfere with
this. The added ability to communicate between rider and passenger and/or with other riders on other bikes
can considerably improve your safety, so become familiar with using the system to provide good advice and/or
warnings etc.

The Phone connection is located on the audio unit same end and opposite side of the antenna cable. To use the shrink wrap, have the cable ends connected within the tubing. When the connection is secure, heat the shrink wrap with a heat gun (or a hair dryer) to shrink the material and tighten it around the connection. This will keep the cables from disconnecting or coming loose in “hard‐to‐get‐to” places in case of an unintentional “tug” that can loosen the connection and affect performance. Button Descriptions Installation Steps 1. Design your system a. What sources are you going to use? b. Where do you want them to reside while riding? 2. Select a location for the Audio unit Good locations for the audio unit are under the seat, in the tail section, in a glove box, under the front plastic, or for Honda GL1800 in the CD player section of the Trunk. Another good location, especially if you have multiple motorcycles, is in an RKA IN‐Charge Communications Tankbag. 3. Select a location for the Display unit Select location for the display unit, which is packaged with a Ram Mount 1” ball. You will need a bike specific lower mount for the handlebars of your bike if you don’t already have one. Note: if you use a different mount, please verify that the mounting bolts do not enter the back of the display more than ¼” or the display PC board may be damaged. We strongly recommend you only use the display mounting bolts provided with the MC‐200 system. 4. If you plan to use a smart phone; a. Select a location for the phone. * Since you can make button and voice commands to the phone after set up, you will not have to mount the phone in a visible location unless you are using it like a GPS with maps for directions. b. Phone must be connected to Aux 1 ‐ located on the audio unit opposite the antenna cable c. Turn on the FM radio and select a strong channel and set volume to a comfortable level 2. Turn on all other connected sources 3. Select the Configuration Icon then select Input volumes 4. For each source, move the slider UP or DOWN until the volume is same as the Radio. When you start to move a slider it will automatically select the source connected to the port it represents. The results of this setup allows the main screen volume to raise or lower the sources proportionally. This setup calibration also stops a major volume change when switching from source to source during operation. **Remember to re‐calibrate device volumes if you change them or add new ones later Two-Way Radio set-up 1. Enable the two way radio from the source screen. Pressing the RXTX button scrolls through Off, Low, Mid, and High settings. Begin by setting it to MID. 2. Turn on your 2 way radio and have someone else transmit to you from another radio. Adjust the volume of your connected two‐way radio until the volume is comfortable for you. 3. Verify you can transmit by pushing the Supplied Push‐to‐talk button. A small RED radio icon will show up on the volume screen indicating you are transmitting. A small GREEN radio icon will appear when you are receiving. 4. If you get false ‘Receive’ indication (Green icon when there is no transmission) you should raise the RXTX setting. 5. If you do not get a ‘Receive’ indication (no icon when there is a transmission) you should lower the RXTX setting. 6. The right slider labeled “Rear” adjust the relationship of volume between the headsets. This way both riders can have a comfortable volume. Slide Down (rear) to have more volume to the passenger headset Slide UP (forward) to have less volume to the passenger headset The L/R slider adjusts the balance between the left and right headset speakers Set Music Level During Conversations VOX Screen Navigate to the VOX screen to change how much fades during, and how quickly it returns, after talking The FADE slider sets how much you want the music to fade while talking (or not at all) The “FADE x SEC” screen icon sets how quickly you want it to return afterwards. Adjust the volume to sound like the level you set for the FM radio by: 1 ‐ Touch the screen above or below the slider to move the level Up or Down 2 ‐ Gently press the screen on the slider and slowly slide Up or Down to adjust the level Press the next slider to activate it and adjust the source device connected to that AUX port When finished, push the MODE button to return to the main screen Note: If sound is distorting, you have set the device too high and am experiencing “clipping”. Lower the input calibration volume to correct this. Adjusting Music Dynamics (Bass, Treble, Loudness, etc) TONE Screen Press the screen Header area to go to the TONE screen. Push a keypad arrow to activate a slider (red arrow on top of slider when active). Either press the screen on the slider or push a keypad arrow button to adjust the level. Move the BASS Up for more, Down for less Move TREBLE Up for more, Down for less Loudness boosts sound at lower volume levels. Settings are ON or OFF 3D simulates surround sound. MAIN / Volume Screen The MUSIC slider on the Main/Volume page is the master volume adjustment. By calibrating your connected devices, this slider affects all of them at an equally from their set levels. Microphone Intercom Volume MAIN / Volume Screen The MIC slider on the Main/Volume screen controls the intercom volume. (Windows phones do not need an additional app) If a Two-Way Radio is Connected SOURCES Screen – RXTX setting On the main screen, a two‐way radio icon appears when the radio is in use. It will be GREEN for incoming signal detection, and RED when you are talking (outgoing). To adjust how sensitive the signal detection will be for receiving radio. Press the MODE button to open the sources screen. The RXTX screen button (bottom left) refers to the two‐way radio. A bar above it is RED when the radio is OFF. Press the screen button to turn on the radio reception and control the sensitivity of incoming signals. The bar will be GREEN and show a level setting for Low‐Med‐High.
