5. Operation

First test on a less visible area whether the
material to be cleaned is suitable for high
pressure steam, for instance:
• Painted wood or leather can be
bleached by steam.
• Unprotected wood can swell.
• Protective wax coatings can be remo-
ved by steam.
• Plastics can be melted by steam.
• Soft plastics can deform when ex-
posed to steam.
• Cold glass or mirror surfaces can
snap when encountering hot steam. If
you wish to clean windows, you must
first preheat them, for instance by
applying the steam over large areas
from a greater distance, then moving it
progressively closer.
• Acrylic, velvit and linen react sensitive-
ly to hot steam, as do plastic fibres.
a) Attaching / Removing Accessories
Warning: Make certain that the power
cord is unplugged before attaching or
removing accessories. Attached accesso-
ries can still be hot after prior operation!
➩ Select the accessory appropriate for the
intended cleaning ( -
