1. Introduction Thank you very much for buying the Neptune synthesizer. The Neptune is a purely analog synthesizer with MIDI control. It offers special features and is simple to use because it has a button or swich for each parameter. -

1. Einleitung Vielen Dank für den Kauf des Neptune Synthesizers. Der Neptune ist ein rein analoger Synthesizer mit MIDI-Steuerung. Er bietet spezielle Features und einfache, effiziente Bedienung, da für jeden Parameter ein Knopf bzw. Schalter vorhanden ist. Der Audioeingang ermöglicht die Bearbeitung externer Signale. -

Hüllkurvengeneratoren und LFO. Dieses Prinzip nennt man subtraktive Synthese. Damit der Neptune MIDI-f hig ist, wird zus tzlich ein MIDI to CV-Converter benötigt, welcher die MIDI- Signale in analoge Signale umwandelt, mit welchen die VCO’s, das Filter sowie der Hüllkurvengenerator angesteuert werden. -

Damit das externe Signal hörbar wird, müssen Sie den Wave-Schalter des VCO 2 auf Ext stellen und den Volume-Regler des VCO 2 auf Maximum. Ausserdem muss der Neptune einen Notenbefehl kriegen, um den VCA durchsteuern zu können. Selbst wenn also der Neptune nur als Filter benutzt wird, muss ein Anschluß an MIDI In vorhanden sein. -

5.2 Technische Daten des CV und GATE Ein- / Ausganges Die Controll Voltage (CV) hat eine Steilheit von 1 V/Oktave. Die Gatebuchse gibt bei Benutzung als Ausgang ein Signal von +5V von sich. Bei Benutzung als Eingang k nnen jedoch bis zu +15V eingeben werden. Wenn der CV / Gate Schalter auf der Rückseite auf Out steht, k nnen die Hüllkurven weiterhin via MIDI angesteuert werden (Gate). -
