    Terms and conditions of the warranty If you encounter problems, first contact your Focal distributor. The warranty for France on all Focal materials is for two years. In the event of faulty equipment, it should be sent, at your own expense, in its original packaging to your distributor, who will then analyse the equipment and determine the nature of the problem.

Any problems associated with a failure to observe the rules for operation may result in the warranty becoming invalid.

The horizontal potentiometers are used to change the cutoff for the subsonic crossover and the cutoff for the low-pass crossover.

The horizontal potentiometer is used to adjust the cutoff frequency for the high-pass crossover. The vertical gain is used to adjust the sound volume of the front channels.

This stage is not essential in terms of operating your DSA 500 RT but it does allow the listening parameters for your sound system to be optimised.
  • Page 34 FOCAL MANAGER DSA 500 RT EXPERT PERFORMANCE U s e r m a n u a l The compressor menu (fig. 20) is divided into 2 zones. The upper area is devoted to the front channels (labelled in yellow). The lower area is devoted to the subwoofer (labelled in blue).
  • Page 35 FOCAL MANAGER DSA 500 RT EXPERT PERFORMANCE U s e r m a n u a l In highest dynamic zones (approaching 0dB relative), depending on the parameters set for threshold and ratio, the dynamic compressor will react in response to external excursions to limit saturation, vibration or excessive load on the speakers.

This stage is not essential in terms of operating your DSA 500 RT but it does allow the listening parameters to be optimised.

The blue halo represents the sound waves issued from the subwoofer. Variations in the intensity of these waves indicate the variation of temporal alignment obtained between the subwoofer and the front channels when the frequency is tuned.
  • Page 40 FOCAL MANAGER DSA 500 RT EXPERT PERFORMANCE U s e r m a n u a l In the frequency adjustment zone between the subwoofer and the rest of the speakers for the system, adjus- ting the cutoff frequency is unfortunately not enough to ensure accurate reproduction and the expected impact for low frequencies.
