14.9 Spindle Encoder Settings The Ajax CNC supplied encoder is a 2000 line encoder which yields 8000 counts per revolution of the spindle. Spindle encod- ers have to be connected directly to the spindle itself at a 1:1 ratio. Other line encoders may be used. 500, 1000, 1024 etc. and the control parameter 34 must be adjusted accordingly.
