Customising the sound of The

• The Stack is expressly designed to allow you to customise the tone of your amp by

changing valves.

• Your amp comes fitted with a 12AX7 valve in the preamp position (left valve) and a

12AT7 in the power valve position (right valve).

• Every brand of 12AX7/ECC83 and 12AT7/ECC81 has a unique sound. You can

customise your tone by substituting different brands of valves.

• In addition, there are a wide range of alternative valve types available which have

different gains/sounds which can be plugged into your Stack to provide custom tones.

• Valves which can be used in the preamp position include 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AY7, 5751,

12AZ7, ECC81, 12AV7, 7025, CC81E, CV4004, CV4024, CV455, CV492, ECC801,

ECC803, M8137, 6201.

• Valves which can be used in the power amp position include 12AT7, ECC81, 6201,

12AU7, 5814, 12BH7, 5965, 6414, 7062, CC81E, CV4003, CV4024, CV455, CV491.

• Valves can be changed while The Stack is turned on so that you can very quickly and

easily compare the tone of different valves.

• To change valves, gently lift the valve from its socket. To insert a valve, locate the pins in

the correct position, and plug in the new valve.

• 12V power lead – allows you to power your Stack amp from battery power. This allows for

portable operation for buskers and other "off the grid" operation.

• Line out cable for recording directly from The Stack.

Warranty:

Valve Heaven provides a back-to-base 12 month warranty for The Stack amplifier and a 3

month warranty on the valves.
