Keep hoses clear. • Replace any worn or damaged parts with genuine EDCO parts immediately. • Regularly examine the air hose for damage, such as cracking or ageing. If damage is found, replace the hose before further use. High pressure air can cause serious injury.

E-PAC5,8,1.5,HCP2-1008 CONTROLS START/STOP CONTROL (electric motor option only) When the pressure in the air receiver reaches a designated low level, approximately 110 P.S.I.G. (drawing 9.9 Amps), the pres- sure switch starts the motor. When the pressure in the air receiver reaches a designated high level, approximately 135 P.S.I.G., the pressure switch stops the motor.

E-PAC5,8,1.5,HCP-2-1008 PILOT VALVE ADJUSTMENT RESETTING DIFFERENTIAL (2) Make sure the top toggle lever is positioned as shown. (See Figure 7). Loosen locknut Unloader Electric (1) by turning counter-clockwise several full turns. Gently turn differential setting (2) Valve clockwise only until the internal rod makes contact with the steel ball inside. After mak- models ing contact, turn differential (2) counter-clockwise 1/4 turn.

RETORQUE HEAD BOLTS TO 29 ft.-lbs. FOR PAC-8 PUMP AND 20-1/4 ft.lbs. FOR PAC-5 PUMPS AFTER THE FIRST 200 HOURS (4 WEEKS) OF OPERATION.

Prior to initial starting, make sure the crankcase is ﬁ lled to the designated level (within the notched area on the dip- stick). DO NOT USE A DETERGENT OIL! Use a premium grade Air Compressor Oil. Any questions call EDCO at 1-800-638-3326 for information.

NOTE: INSTRUCTIONS, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLE SHOOT- ING FOR THE PAC-1.5 ARE THE SAME AS FOR THE PAC-5 AND PAC-8 DESCRIBED EARLIER IN THIS MANUAL. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE, PAC-5 AND PAC-8 ARE GASOLINE POWERED AND THE PAC-1.5 ELECTRIC POWERED.

Always operate the unit in a level position. All splash lubricated pumps have a dipper on the bot- tom of the connecting rod that must remain submerged in the oil bath to provide proper lubrication.
