2. Touch Add to contacts.
3. To add the number to an existing contact, touch the contact, select a number type for the new
number, and then touch OK.

To add the number as a new contact, touch CREATE NEW CONTACT, enter the name and
any additional information, and then touch Save. See Add a Contact.
When selecting a number type for the entry:

Select DC ONLY if the Direct Connect number is different from the wireless phone

number. Make sure to include the asterisks (*) between the sections of a DC ONLY
number.
Select other than DC ONLY if the wireless phone number and the Direct Connect
o
number are the same.
Display Your Direct Connect Number
Your Direct Connect number and other information about your phone and account will be displayed.
Press Home

Make and Answer Direct Connect Calls

You can make a Direct Connect call by entering a Direct Connect number manually or by selecting
an entry containing a Direct Connect number in your Contacts or History. For information on saving
Direct Connect numbers to Contacts, see Save a Direct Connect Number.
Make a Direct Connect Call by Entering a Number
Place a Direct Connect call by entering a Direct Connect number with your keypad.
1. Press Home
2. Enter a Direct Connect number.
The Direct Connect number may be the ten-digit wireless phone number of the person you

are calling.

If calling a user with a UFMI number, the Direct Connect number may have three parts with
an asterisk between each part (for example: 444*5555*111). When dialing or saving this
type of number, always include the asterisks (*).
3. Press and release the Direct Connect Button (DC Button) on the side of your phone.
