General Introduction 1.1 Overview Synapse vX series are equipped with Intel® Quad- Core Atom™ E3800 (formerly codenamed Bay Trail) processor family (1.91GHz) and DDR3L single channel 8GB ram, 2 HDMI display, 2 RS-232, 2 RS-232/422/485, 2 isolated RS- 232/422/485, 2 GbE LANs, one 2.5” SATA 3Gp/s SSD/HDD tray, 3 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0, and 2 miniPCI-express.
1.3 Supported CPU List Rugged Science Synapse vX series is based on Intel® Atom™ Bay Trail platform and accepts the following Bay Trail-I Family processors. E3845 and E3815 are selected in Synapse vX series standard models, and the rest is available upon project-base.

It is Equipped with Panasonic BR2032 190mAh lithium battery. It is recommended that you not replace the lithium battery on your own. If the battery needs to be changed, please contact the Rugged Science RMA service team.
2.5 Main Board Jumper Setting The figure below is the top view of the Synapse vX series main board. It shows the location of the jumpers. You may configure your card to match the needs of your application by setting jumpers. A jumper is a metal bridge used to close an electric circuit.
