how to use different sharpeners
The Salton Elite SECO15 has a knife and scissor sharpener. To use them:
1. Knife Sharpener
- Ensure the blade is clean and free of grease.
- Insert the knife blade into the sharpener slot.
- Pull the blade slowly and evenly towards you.
- If the knife has a curved tip, slightly raise the handle at the end of each stroke.
- Avoid forcing the blade against the grinding wheel to prevent uneven sharpening.
2. Scissor Sharpener
- Place one blade of the scissors into the sharpener groove.
- Draw it towards you slowly and evenly.
- Repeat for the other blade.
Additional Guidelines:
- Do not sharpen hollow ground or serrated blades.
- Limit sharpening to a maximum of 2 minutes at a time.
- Allow the unit to cool for at least 15 minutes after use to prevent motor burnout.
