The housing can be cleaned with a cloth, dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Shredder should never be placed in water or near or over a heat source. -

This shredder can ONLY be used with the supplied wastebasket for safety reasons. The wastebasket and shredder have special built-in safety features designed to protect the user. The shredder top MUST be positioned so that the INTERLOCK LATCH fits into the INTERLOCK SWITCH slot - otherwise the shredder will not operate. -
