It is always listening to and talking to the radiator valves and room sensors. If it is turned off, not only will your heating not work correctly, but also the battery life of the radiator valves and room sensors will be significantly shortened.

    Footprint By using the rooms sensors, available to buy from the Heat Genius website, your Genius Hub learns when the room is used and uses this to predict when to next heat the room. This works on a 7-day schedule, so it will heat those days when you are at work differently to those you spend in front of the TV.

    (Optional) The room sensor measures the temperature in the room and determines whether or not the room is being used. It communicates the Genius Hub wirelessly. When the battery becomes low the unit will flash red when it detects occupancy.
