Charging 4/5-Cell Receiver Batteries
The Perfect Peak includes a universal charge lead so that you can charge all
major brands of receiver batteries. To charge the battery:
• Hook up the end of the lead to the 4-5 cell terminal of the charger,
making sure that you attach the red of the lead wire to the red of the
charger hook-up. Next, attach the black of the lead wire to the black of
the charger hook-up.
• Plug the connector to into the receiver battery pack. The charger will "beep"
once after this has been done.
• Connect the Perfect Peak to an appropriate DC power supply. LEDs
will indicate the charge cycle; a sold green light indicates the battery is
charging. A flashing green light and repeated "beep" will indicate that the
battery is fully charged and is on trickle charge.
Charging Transmitter Batteries
The Perfect Peak includes a universal transmitter plug. To charge the battery:
• Connect the Perfect Peak to an appropriate 12V power supply.
• If you are charging a Futaba transmitter pack, simply attach the red wire of
the lead to the red of the charger hook-up. Next, attach the black wire of the
charge lead to the black of the charger hook-up.
• If charging a JR
the charge lead to the black charger hook-up and the black wire lead of the
charge lead to the red charger hook-up.
• Plug the connector of the lead into the transmitter jack. Your transmitter
battery pack should now be charging.
• The LEDs will indicate the charge cycle. A solid green light indicates the
battery is charging; a flashing green light and a repeated "beep" will
indicate the battery is fully charged and is now on trickle charge.
Note: The 12V input and TX/RX outputs are reverse polarity protected.
When hooked up backwards the charger will not charge.
Trickle Charge
Once the batteries are fully charged, the charger will repeatedly beep, and the
green light will flash. This will indicate that the battery is now on trickle charge.
At trickle charge, the batteries will charge at 50mA.
Re-peak
To re-peak a battery, disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Connect the
battery again to begin the charge cycle.
