moisture removal and temperature variation demands on the refrigerated dryer. Between the compressed air receiver and dryer, a general purpose coalescing filter with an automatic drain is used to remove liquid water, liquid oil and solid particles from the airstream. Pre-filtering eases the load on the dryer and prevents an emulsion of water, oil and particulates from forming.

AIR & REFRIGERANT CIRCUITS: Air Circuit Warm wet compressed air enters the refrigerant dryer at the inlet port. (On models 30 scfm through 250 scfm) It first passes through an air-to-air heat exchanger where its temperature is lowered by the cool air exiting the dryer. It then enters the evaporator or refrigerant-to-air heat exchanger where its temperature is lowered.
