2.1 General
The Prest-O-Lite
550 is a compact, completely self-con-
®
tained plasma cutting system. As shipped, the system is
fully assembled and ready to cut after being connected
to input power and a source of prefiltered compressed
air (90-150 psi). The Prest-O-Lite
PT-31XL torch to deliver cutting power for materials up
to 1/2 inch thick or for severing up to 5/8 inch thick. Refer
to the following paragraphs for descriptions of the Prest-
O-Lite
®
550 packages available as well as performance
specifications.
