Connection Guide
Connecting the KW-10 to your computer is a simple and straight forward operation.
However, as when dealing with any electronic equipment, exercise caution and be
gentle. USB technology is certainly robust, but it isn't indestructible!
To connect the KW-10 keyboard to your computer:
Insert fresh batteries (2 x AA) into the KW-10 keyboard.
Find a spare USB port on your computer. If there are no spare USB ports, you
might need to use a USB hub.
Insert the USB receiver into the port on your computer.
Your computer will take a moment to load drivers for the keyboard. Once it
has done so, your KW-10 will be ready to use.
Changing Batteries:
Turn the keyboard upside down.
Locate the small battery slot cover, located in the
upper right hand side of the keyboard.
Using a fingernail or similar, pry open the battery
compartment.
Remove any old batteries.
Insert a fresh pair of batteries, observing polarity.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
Maintenance
Your KW-10 keyboard is practically maintenance free. However, with just a little
care and attention, your KW-10 will continue to perform at its best well into the
future.
General Guidelines
If the keyboard starts behaving erratically replace the batteries immediately.
Handle with some care - do not expose to sudden shocks (such as dropping
the keyboard).
Avoid using the keyboard with excessively dirty or wet hands.
Periodically:
If you are using the protective silicone skin, then remove it when it becomes
dirty. Wash in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly and allow to completely
dry before re-applying to keyboard.
If you choose not to use the protective silicone skin, clean any accumulated
dust and grit off of the keyboard, using a duster or damp (not wet) cloth.
