Initial setup instructions

Important: Before using your tablet, be sure to read and understand the regulatory information and safety
information later in this document.
1.
Lift the two prongs of the ThinkPad Tablet AC Adapter.
2.
Connect one end of the USB cable to the ac adapter and the other end to the micro USB connector
on the tablet. Plug the ac adapter into a standard ac power outlet.
Note: For cabling instructions using a ThinkPad Tablet Dock or ThinkPad Tablet Keyboard Folio Case
option, refer to the instructions provided with the option.
3.
Press the power button to turn on the tablet. Then, follow the onscreen instructions to complete
the initial setup.
Additional information about using your tablet is in the User Guide. See "Accessing your User Guide" later
in this document.
Accessing your User Guide
Your User Guide contains detailed information about your tablet. To
access your User Guide, use one of the following methods:

Go to http://www.lenovo.com/ThinkPadUserGuides and follow the
instructions on the screen.
•
Start your tablet. Tap Lenovo Support on the Start screen. Then
tap User Guide.
•
Open Windows Help and Support. Then tap Lenovo User Guide.
Read before using your tablet
The following sections provide critical safety and regulatory
information for Lenovo computers and instructions on how to access
electronic versions of the publications developed for your tablet.
Read first — regulatory information
Computer models equipped with wireless communications comply
with the radio frequency and safety standards of any country or region
in which it has been approved for wireless use. In addition, if your
product contains a telecom modem, it complies with the requirements
for connection to the telephone network in your country.
Be sure to read the Regulatory Notice for your country or region
before using the wireless devices contained in your tablet. To obtain a
PDF version of the Regulatory Notice, refer to the "Downloading
publications" section below.
Downloading publications
Electronic versions of your computer publications are available from
the Lenovo Support Web site. To download the publications for your
computer, go to http://www.lenovo.com/ThinkPadUserGuides and
follow the instructions on the screen.
Service and Support information
The following information describes the technical support that is
available for your product, during the warranty period or throughout

Your tablet might come with another type of ThinkPad Tablet AC Adapter.

You can restore the content of your tablet storage to the factory default state. For 32GB models, use the
USB recovery key. For other models, use the preinstalled recovery application provided by Microsoft
