8. TROUBLE SHOOTING

8-1 Engine does not start

Description
No spark in the spark plug
Spark Plug
Magneto
Switch
Sparks appear in the spark plug
Compression &
fueling is normal
Fueling normal but
poor compression
No fuel supply

8-2 Stalled during Operation

Description
Suddenly stopped
Gradual speed reduction
and stalled
Cause
1.Wet spark plug electrodes
2.Carbon deposited on the electrodes
3.Insulation failure by insulator damage
4.Inproper spark gap
5.Burn out of electrodes
1.Ignition coil inside failure
2.Damaged cable sheath or disconnected cable
1.Switch is OFF
2. Switch failure
3. Primary wiring earthed
1.Over sucking of fuel
2.Too rich fuel
3.Overflow
4. Clogging of air cleaner
5.Faulty fuel
1.Worn out cylinder, piston, or piston ring
2.Gas leakage from cylinder and crank case gasket
1. Choked breather air hole
2.Clogged carburetor
3.Clogged fuel filter
Cause
1.Switch is OFF
2.Plug cap disconnected
3.Short circuit of spark plug electrodes by carbon Remove carbon
4. Switch cable or high tension cable
sheath worn out
5. Ignition coil inside failure
6. Engine seizure
1.Lack of fuel
2.Clogging inside carburetor
3.Water mixed to fuel
