Your Xerxes.20 is at the heart of your record playing system and the link between the tone arm/cartridge and the record. Its correct installation, set-up and operation will have a profound influence on the sonic performance of the entire record playing system. - Page 3 D E S I G N Record Player As with the original TMS turntable design, the Xerxes.20 has three separate plinths used for decoupling across a selective frequency band. The sub-plinth which carries the main bearing/platter assembly and the tonearm is designed as a reference platform to preserve the record/cartridge interface from unwanted disturbances.
