The back of the refrigerator needs to be positioned at least 5 inches from the wall. Each of the sides of the refrigerator requires at least 5 inches of distance from the surrounding walls. -

Make sure that the power cord is not placed in a location where it can be stepped on or become damaged. The power cord should be kept away from the compressor at the back of the refrigerator because of the high temperature emitted from the compressor during operation. -
