BEFORE GETTING STARTED
Be sure to perform the initialization operation when

first set up your Control Pack PACoN 1 0_

dure for performing this operation.)
It may not be possible to save passwords and high
scores. etc .• if the initialization operation is not per-
formed before you begin playing games.
What is "Initialization (FORMAT)"? ••••••
The Control Pack PACoN 1 0 unit features a built-in
back-up memory for saving passwords and high
scores. etc. The initialization operation is per-
formed in order to make it possible to use this
back-up memory.
The initialization operation can also be performed
to erase all data such as passwords. etc .• that has
been stored in the back-up memory.
NOTE:
Tho data saved in the back·up memory may be lost if the
unir
is not switched
on
for
a
long period of
rime
(approxi·
mately two weeks). In order to prevent the data from
being lost. turn tho unit·s power
on
approximately once
every two weeks. even if
the unir
is
nor
to be
used.
If the
data

losr. perform rhe Initializarion operation (FORM·
A T) once
again.
[The Back-up Function]
• This unit features a memory back-up function
which remains for approximately two weeks af-
ter the power is turned off. This back-up memo-
ry is referred to as BACKUP RAM and is used to
save data such as game passwords and high
sources. etc. Please refer to the operating in-
structions for each game regarding the method
used to save this data as methods differ for each
game •
• Any data stored in the back-up memory is lost
when the Initialization operation (FORMAT) is
performed. so be careful when performing this
operation.
Deleting from BACKUP RAM (DELETE) •••
There is a limit to the amount of data that can be
stored in BACKUP RAM. Therefore it is sometimes
necessary to erase unnecessary data from memory
in order to make room to store new data.
Execute the Delete function to erase unnecessa-
ry data from BACKUP RAM.
