Normal Care

CHECKING TIRE PRESSURE

Front tire pressure should be 12 - 15 psi (82 - 103 kPa).
Rear tire pressure should be 10 - 12 psi (56 - 82 kPa).
CHECKING FUEL FILTER
The fuel filter is located in fuel line between fuel tank and
carburetor. If filter is dirty or clogged, replace as follows.
Place a container below filter to catch spilled gasoline.
WARNING
Do not remove fuel filter when engine is hot, as
spilled gasoline may ignite. DO NOT spread hose
clamps further than necessary. Ensure clamps
grip hoses firmly over filter after installation.
1. Using a pliers, open and slide hose clamps from fuel
filter.
2. Remove hoses from filter.
3. Install new filter in proper flow direction in fuel line.
Secure with hose clamps. See warning at beginning
of procedure.

LUBRICATION

Lubricate the tractor as shown in figures 11 & 12. When
a grease gun is shown, wipe the fitting clean, apply two
or three shots of lithium base automotive grease
(Simplicity part no. 103077), and wipe off excess grease.
When an oil can is shown, wipe the area clean, apply a
few drops of oil (SAE 30), then wipe up drips or spills.
