Receiving Traffic Information with TMC

Thanks to the built-in TMC (Traffic Message Channel) receiver, traffic
information to be considered for route planning can be received from FM
broadcasting stations.
Please note that the supplied TMC wire antenna [page 11, item 7]
must be connected to the navigation device for the TMC function
to work (see page 21).
After connecting the TMC antenna it may take a few minutes until
all traffic information has been received.
As soon as the TMC status indicator shows a green dot the navigation device
has found a station and received its broadcast TMC traffic information, if
available. If you know the frequency of a station that broadcasts TMC traffic
information you may also tune the device manually to this frequency (see
page 80).
The navigation device will calculate a new route if a traffic jam is announced
for the current route. You may disable the automatic rerouting (see page 79) if
you wish to make the route changes manually.
