- Page 10 subwoofers can be used in either sealed or por ted applications, depending on your music tastes and specific requirements. We recommend using a minimum of 3/4” (18mm) MDF for constructing your enclosure. Also be sure to glue all joints with a high strength wood glue and once assembled, all joints should be sealed with silicone sealant.
- Page 11 Minimum and maximum sealed enclosure volumes are given. The minimum enclosure will yield high impact bass and is suitable for applications where space is at a premium. Any sealed enclosure bet ween the min and max recommended sizes can be used and will exhibit characteristics more similar to that of the enclosure size that it is closest to in volume.

Check that the enclosure is totally sealed (except for the port in ported enclosure types) and that it is within the minimum and maximum recommended enclosure sizes and that in the case of a ported box the port is of the correct length and diameter.
