Simply stretch the skirt (with the fins pointing up, towards the cleaner) over the Footpad, as shown in Fig. 2. Make sure the inside rim if the Skirt is located in the track that runs around the Footpad.

Grasp the other end of the Diaphragm (the end furthest away from the Inner Extension Pipe) and pull it away from the pool cleaner body.
