Setting the SIM PIN code

Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) code protects the information stored on your SIM.
Press
Scroll to
and press
Scroll to
and press
Scroll to SIM PIN and press CHANGE
At On press
At Verify your SIM PIN code, enter default SIM
PIN (default PIN is 0000) and press OK
Scroll to New Passwords and press
Scroll to SIM PIN and press CHANGE
Enter current SIM PIN code (default PIN is 0000)
Press OK
Enter your new SIM PIN code (eg 1234)
Press OK
Re-enter new SIM PIN code
Press OK
If you enter your PIN incorrectly three times in a row,
the USIM will be blocked. Call 3 Customer Services on
0870 7330 333 for help with unlocking your SIM.

When the PIN is
activated, the mobile
will ask for the PIN
every time it is turned on.
Someone who doesn't know
the PIN can't use it.

Locking your mobile

You can lock your mobile whenever you like to stop anyone else
from using it, or you can set it to lock every time you turn it off.

At Phone Lock press SELECT
At Lock Now / Automatic Lock
press SELECT
When the screen prompts you to
Verify Unlock Code, enter code
(default code is 1234).
Press OK
To change the unlock code...
Scroll to New Passwords and SELECT
At Unlock Code press CHANGE
Enter the current unlock code
(default code is 1234)
Press OK
If you change the default code (000000) and
then can't remember it, you'll need to send
your mobile to Motorola, who will unlock it.
Enter your new unlock code
(eg 1234)
Press OK
Re-enter new unlock code
Press OK
