Sound Level Meter. Precautions should be taken to ensure that the Sound Level Meter is not exposed to adverse weather conditions. The MK:429 is not designed for long term use, and where measurements are required for extended periods or where the weather conditions are adverse, an alternative system such as the MK:425 or MK:426A units should be used.

MK:429 Lightweight Outdoor Microphone Page 6 Assembling the MK:429 Step 1 Remove the microphone capsule from the preamplifier and connect the ZL:2xx cable to the MV:200 Preamplifier Push the MV:200 Preamplifier through the Preamplifier Housing. Reattach the microphone capsule to the preamplifier.

Page 7 Operation & Use Calibration The Sound Level Meter connected to the MK:429 unit should be calibrated as described in the Operating Manual for the instrument. Remove the Windshield from the MK:429 to gain access to the preamplifier and microphone capsule.

Page 8 Guarantee Cirrus Research plc offers a 12 month guarantee on all of their units. This covers all parts and labour excepting only damage caused by the user. Because of the unique fragility of microphones, only internal short or open circuits are accepted as faults and not accident damage.
