CONFIDENTIAL Introduction CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION The MVD500 is a professional single-channel MPEG-2 HD Decoder, based on the Digital-Cinema prooven MVD400 and optimized for Japanese Broadcast applica- tions. Encapsulated in a EMC-proven 1RU stainless-steel housing the MVD500 supports simultaneous output of two decoded audio tracks onto four AES3-ID interfaces and simultaneous output of the single decoded video track onto two interfaces, SD-SDI and HD-SDI.
