To connect a Bose Companion 3 Series II to a Sony TV, use a 3.5mm audio output jack (headphone or line-out) from the TV and plug it into the input jack on the control pod of the Bose system using a 3.5mm stereo audio cable. If your TV only has RCA audio outputs, use an RCA to 3.5mm adapter cable.

why isn’t The led On my control pod going green when plugged in into my Bose companion three series 2 multimedia system? I have two separate pods and neither of them have a green LED.
And how can I update my Bose software? Does this need to happen?

The LED on the control pod of your Bose Companion 3 Series II may not turn green due to one of the following reasons:
1. Faulty Control Pod: The control pod itself may be defective. This is suggested when the system powers on, but there's no proper audio output or LED response.
2. Connection Issue: The nine-pin cable connecting the control pod to the subwoofer might be damaged or not seated properly. A loose or broken connection can prevent proper communication and power transfer.
3. Internal Component Failure: There could be a problem with the amplifier or internal electronics either in the subwoofer or the control pod that prevents it from switching to active mode.
4. Incorrect Input Source: If multiple audio sources are connected, the system may not recognize the correct one, affecting operation. Only one source should be used at a time.
Check each of these areas to identify and resolve the issue.
