1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Congratulations on your purchase of the QuikStrap™ Cable Stapler! We hope you find this tool to be an indispensable part of your wiring jobs. Please read this entire manual so you can thoroughly understand the safe and proper operation of your tool, maximize time in service and ensure safe use.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR STAPLERS WARNING: Pacemaker wearers, exposure to magnetic fields generated by the tool can result in death or serious injury. Pacemaker wearers should not operate this tool. If you have any reason to suspect that interference is taking place, turn off the tool immediately and seek medical assistance.

• Refer to the Maintenance section for detailed information on the proper maintenance of the tool. • Do not drive fasteners near edge of material. The work- piece may split causing the fastener to ricochet, injuring you or a bystander. Be aware that the staple may follow the grain of the wood, causing it to protrude unexpectedly from the side of the work material.
2. Do not expose charger to water including rain or snow. 3. Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by Halex may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. 4. To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger.

Battery Charging Procedure Y our charger is designed to use standard 120 volt AC, 60 Hz power. Do not use DC or any other voltage. Battery charge time is approximately 90 minutes. Charging is controlled by a microprocessor. Charger will charge the battery when the battery’s temperature is between 32°F(0°C) and 113°F(45°C).

You may also charge a partially discharged pack whenever you desire with no adverse affect on the battery pack. 5. Halex battery packs that are labeled “Li-ion” should only be used with the Halex battery charger supplied with your tool. The charger should be labeled “Li-ion“.

Adjusting Staple Depth (Fig. 6) The depth that the fastener is driven can be adjusted using the depth adjustment knob on the back of the Fig. 6 tool. Staple depth is also very dependent on how firmly the handle is held to resist Power Knob kickback (“recoil”).
