1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Congratulations on your purchase of the QuikStrap™ Cable Stapler! We hope you find this tool to be an indispensable part of your wiring jobs. Please read this entire manual so you can thoroughly understand the safe and proper operation of your tool, maximize time in service and ensure safe use. - Page 4 • Always wear appropriate hearing protection during use. Under some conditions and duration of use, noise from this product may contribute to hearing loss. • Use only QuikStrap Staples. The use of other types of ™ fasteners could result in serious bodily injury to you or bystanders.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR STAPLERS WARNING: Pacemaker wearers, exposure to magnetic fields generated by the tool can result in death or serious injury. Pacemaker wearers should not operate this tool. If you have any reason to suspect that interference is taking place, turn off the tool immediately and seek medical assistance. - Page 7 • Refer to the Maintenance section for detailed information on the proper maintenance of the tool. • Do not drive fasteners near edge of material. The work- piece may split causing the fastener to ricochet, injuring you or a bystander. Be aware that the staple may follow the grain of the wood, causing it to protrude unexpectedly from the side of the work material.

2. Do not expose charger to water including rain or snow. 3. Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by Halex may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. 4. To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting charger. - Page 9 Battery Charging Procedure Y our charger is designed to use standard 120 volt AC, 60 Hz power. Do not use DC or any other voltage. Battery charge time is approximately 90 minutes. Charging is controlled by a microprocessor. Charger will charge the battery when the battery’s temperature is between 32°F(0°C) and 113°F(45°C).
- Page 10 You may also charge a partially discharged pack whenever you desire with no adverse affect on the battery pack. 5. Halex battery packs that are labeled “Li-ion” should only be used with the Halex battery charger supplied with your tool. The charger should be labeled “Li-ion“.

- Page 14 Adjusting Staple Depth (Fig. 6) The depth that the fastener is driven can be adjusted using the depth adjustment knob on the back of the Fig. 6 tool. Staple depth is also very dependent on how firmly the handle is held to resist Power Knob kickback (“recoil”).

The above warranties are limited to tools which are used with Halex- brand staples; if non-Halex brand staples are used with the tool, these warranties shall be null and void. - Page 18 SOLE REMEDY: THE SOLE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER OF ANY TOOL IN CONNECTION WITH ANY BREACH OF ANY APPLICABLE W ARRANTY BY HALEX SHALL BE, AT THE DISCRETION OF HALEX, EITHER REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE TOOL, OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE FOR THE SAME.
