Important Safeguards Before using, cleaning or servicing the Cimbali M52 Fully Automatic, Milk Cooler or Cup Warmer, always follow these basic safety precautions: Read the instructions carefully before using the machines. Ensure that anyone who will be involved with the cleaning or refilling of the machines also reads the instructions.
Setting Up Instructions Cimbali M52 Fully Automatic Ensure the machine is connected to the electrical Master and water supplies and that both supplies are Programming ON/OFF switched on. Panel switch Manual Switch - On Lift the display panel to gain access to the programming panel.

Automatic Switch - On If the “CLOCK” function has been activated the machine will switch on automatically at the previously programmed time and switch off at the previously programmed time. The machine displays will be the same as those for the ESPRESSOTIME Manual Switch - On and the functioning of the machine is also the same.

Setting Up Instructions (Cont.) Adjusting the Clock The clock may be adjusted only when the “CLOCK” mode is activated. Switch on the machine, the display will show: ESPRESSOTIME On the programming panel press the + or - keys to Monday 12:30 alter the time as required.

Filling the Bean Hoppers The Cimbali M52 machine is fitted with two bean hoppers. Each hopper is fitted with a removable funnel to ensure a smooth flow of beans to the grinders. Note: Use only the amount of beans required for the next 3 to 4 hours, coffee beans lose their aroma and flavour if left in the hoppers for a long time.

“Fresh Milk” Milk Cooler Ensure the milk cooler is connected to the mains electricity supply and that the supply is switched ON. Insert the milk tube into the hole in the machine. Press the ON/OFF switch and ensure the “machine ON” and “high temperature” lights Milk illuminate.

Setting Up Instructions (Cont.) Cup Warmer Ensure that the cup warmer is connected to the mains electrical supply, and that the supply is switched on. Set the ON/OFF switch to ON and ensure that the indicator illuminates. WARNING: THE SHELVES OF THE CUP WARMER ARE HOT DURING OPERATION.
Dispensing Drinks Coffee/Milk Position a cup on the drip tray, underneath the cappuccino system. Press the key on the selection panel for the required coffee or milk product. The product LED adjacent to the selected key will illuminate whilst the product is being dispensed. Delivery will terminate automatically.

Cleaning the Milk Circuit The milk circuit is cleaned using an automatic cleaning cycle after which the cappuccino system is dismantled and cleaned by hand. This procedure is to be carried out at the end of each day or when requested by the machine. A “wash milk circuit” message will appear in the display window and an audible warning will be heard.

Daily Cleaning (Cont.) Rotate and remove the top jet. Top Jet Disassemble the cappuccino system as follows: Remove the coffee tube connector located on the back of the cappuccino system. Rotate the cappuccino system 90 anticlockwise. Gently pull downwards and remove. Unscrew the ring nut and disassemble the five parts.

Milk Switch off and disconnect the electrical Container supply to the machine. Remove the milk cooler lid. Remove the milk tube and lift out the milk container.

Display Messages Cimbali M52 Fully Automatic When the machine is working normally the display changes to provide operational information. The following is a list of messages that may appear, and the action required if they do. ESPRESSOTIME This message means that the boiler is not up to the required Machine Cold temperature.

Simple Checks Before Calling A Service Technician The Cimbali M52 Fully Automatic machine together with its associated milk cooler and cup warmer is designed and manufactured to give excellent service. However, faults may occur. Some faults may be remedied quickly by the operator without the need to call a Service Technician.
Health and Safety at Work and Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 The above regulations state that all electrical equipment should be regularly checked for safety. It is recommended that the machine should be regularly checked by the person, or people, responsible for daily maintenance and use, by switching off and disconnecting the plug and checking the general condition of the machine, paying particular attention to the mains electrical lead and plug.
Mains Electrical Plug The 3-pin plugs at the end of the Milk Cooler and Cup Warmer flexible mains electrical power supply cords are NOT WATERPROOF. Therefore, they must be kept dry. These machines are equipped with plugs which are moulded to the power supply cords and fitted with cartridge fuses.
