50 seconds. The unit first checks to see if there is a disk in the floppy drive and, if it finds one, it will attempt to boot from that disk. Miranda Technologies Ltd issues specialised floppy disks for use as part of the boot-up sequence when software upgrades are being implemented. No other disk should ever be present in the floppy disk drive during the boot sequence.
