• PVDJ DAI Installation Plug the PVDJ DAI into your PC (you will see detected new hardware at the bottom right of the computer screen). After inserting the program CD, select “install” from the installation menu. If no menu shows up after inserting CD, locate and run Setup.exe on the CD.

DAI connect directly to the left and right players. PVDJ will look for the soundcard built into the DAI and connect to it. If you want to use a different soundcard, select Menu/Edit/Preferences to change. All of your changes will be saved when exiting the PVDJ software program.

DAI when the players are not playing. To Load the track push the load button (DAI: 1) ( Holding down the Load button on the DAI (DAI: 1) will enable you to do this while a player is playing. It will not load a track if you press Load when it is playing.
Frev and Ffwd arrows on the computer screen or use the outer or inner jog wheel on the DAI (DAI: 7). You can switch the display to show Elapsed or Remaining Time, and BPM or Pitch information on the DAI by simply touching on those areas on the LCD.

Utility settings and Auto Pilot play The DAI can also help you with your mixing. In the utility screen on the DAI (DAI: 3) you can turn Auto Pilot on/off, plus other settings such as Auto Cue, Quantization and BPM scanning.
