Cable-TV or SMATV head end. All functions are integrated in an extremely compact unit that easily can be mounted in different ways. The EFM-100 has multiple functions. It can be setted as an FM tuner, an FM amplifier, an FM processor or a FM modulator for external sources.

2. Unpacking the unit EFM-100 is delivered with all necessary software to enable all the installations. The files are on the included CD and a PC or PALM PDA can be used as a control unit. Following parts are included in the package:...

Video out RS-232 port for control and settings Power on indication Green light indicates that the EFM-100 is connected to power. RS-232 port for control Serial port for connection of PALM PDA or PC (control software and settings available on attached CD).

ROM are loaded into the PALM. For more information on how this is done, please consult your PALM user manual. 1. Connect the EFM-100 to a DC power supply (the ESP-100 or EPP-100). Then connect your PALM PDA to the EFM-100 with a PALM Hotsync cable to the RS-232 serial port on the front of EFM-100.
Page 7 4. The settings window allows you to enable and adjust the various functions of EFM-100. The Amplifier, the RF output attenuation and the OSD video settings are all handled via drop down lists, while pop-up windows are shown when selecting the Tuner or the Modulator.

Connect the EFM-100 to a DC power supply (the ESP-100 or EPP-100). Then connect your PC to the EFM-100 with a null modem cable from a serial port on the PC to the RS-232 port on the EFM-100. Select the correct COM port and press [OK] and following menu should appear.

6. Installation The EFM-100 can be installed either stand alone or it can be installed in a base unit (EBU-100) together with any of our high quality E-series products. Before connecting power to EFM-100 make sure that all other connections are made.

EFM-100 är en högkvalitativ professionell FM radio processor avsedd att användas i alla Kabel-TV och SMATV nät.

Page 21 4. Installations-fönstret tillåter dig att välja och justera de olika funktionerna hos EFM-100. Via dropp-lister kan du ställa in Förstärkaren, Utgångs-dämpningen och OSD-inställningen medans “pop-up” fönster används vid inställningar i Tuner och Modulator. Med Förstärkaren aktiverad kan du dämpa utsignalen mellan 0 till -31dB i 1dB steg.
