PLUMBING SYSTEMS AND
HOLDING TANKS
The plumbing systems in your motor home arc
constructed of durable thermoplastic materials.
Holding. tanks and piping components are
strong: lightweight, and corrosion resistant.
Holding tanks are of three types:
• Fresh - Fresh potabJe' water
• Grey -
Lavy/shower effluent
• Bla,:k -
Joilet effluent
It is tecommsmdcd todischargc as many fluid
tanks as practical before driving.
FRESH WATER SYSTEM
Fresh, potable watcr is available from either an
external "city water" hookup or on-board storage.

The"external system is pressurized by the water
system at an RV park or city water supply. The
connection is located in the utility compartment
on the rear left side of the motor home.

L Connect one end of a potable water hose to
the RV park or city water supply. This will
usually be a faucet or'valve similar to your
garden hose valve at home; Potable water
hoses are available at RVsupply stores,

2. Run the city water supply for a few sec-
onds'to dear the line. Turn off the water.
3. Attach the other end of the potable water
hose to city water connection located on
the motor home. Make sure all connections
arc tight.
4.
Turn ort the RV park/city water supply.
Open alLfaucets inside the motor home to
. clear the lines. Then turn off faucets.

CAUTION
Since .w'!,ter pressures at campgrounds vary, We rec-
ommend you install an in-line pressure regulator (if
not equipped) .at the w.ater supply faucet. This .will pro-
tect the motor homewa!er sysie'm and your supply
hose from excessively high water pressure.
To disconnect the city water:
I. Turn OFF the city water supply.
2: Remove the hose from the city water supply
valve. '
3. Drain and store the hose .
Filling the On-Board Water Tank

The on-board fresh water tank can be filled in
two ways: (1) city water pressure or (2) graVity.
l. City water pressure - When connected to
the city water supply as described above,
turn the bypass valve located in the utility
compartment to "Water Tank Fill" from the
"Normal" setting. This will fill the on-
board fresh water tank.
Make sure the external gravity fill connee-
tipn is open (remove the cap) to allow air
to escape from the on-board tank. When
water flows out of this external fill, the on-
board tank is full.
After filling, turn the bypass valve to
·'Normal."
